The VVGA was formed in 1982 and today consists of 21 Districts from all parts of Victoria. Each District has their own autonomy and culture and are affiliated with the VVGA. | |
Today there are almost 5000 veteran members in Victoria and 30000 in Australia.

Joining the Veterans is easy all you need to be is 55 years of age and a member of a golf club affiliated with the VGA or VGL.
Simply contact your local District Secretary listed in the Contact section and also in the Parmaker Fixture Booklet which can be
downloaded from this site or a copy obtained from your District Secretary.
You will find interesting information in the various sections that follow, The Captain tells us about forthcoming major events, there are sections for Metro and Country news items. The Districts are represented by 6 councillors and meetings are held regularly and relevant matters are promulgated in Council News. The VVGA is represented on the AVGU and news is reported in this section. Parmaker is the VVGA major sponsor and we comment on their latest developments. A full section is dedicated to Tournament Results and we also record the activities of the Ladies on tour at major events .

One of the great advantages of playing Veteran Golf is the variety of great courses that are available for competitive play and of course meeting players from many clubs. Left is the beautiful Club House at Commonwealth Golf Club one of the many supportive Victorian Clubs. If you are 55 or over and a keen golfer a new horizon is waiting for you.

ALAN MUNRO NEW VVGA PRESIDENT
Alan Munro was elected President of the VVGA at the AGM conducted at Port Fairy on October 3rd 2011.
Alan has been Captain for the past 7 years and brings a great knowledge of golf and in particular Veteran Golf to the position.
He stands for good fellowship and keen competition and will be a dedicated leader.
He is looking forward to the challenge and the next two years under his guidance augurs well for Veteran Golf in Victoria.
He has been the Victorian Delegate to the AVGU since 2004 and will pass the the job to Richard Froebel in 2012.
