| IRISH DANCERS PROVIDE HIGHLIGHT FOR VETERANS AT HARROW | |||
Well known Veteran and Harrow legend Max Grigg invited his two grandchildren Kate (left) and John Cameron and Bianca Ferguson to entertain the Veterans at the dinner held on the Monday evening of the VVGA Sandscrape Tournament. They were sensational and the display of Irish Dancing left the audience in awe. They obviously will enjoy an exciting future having already accomplished a great deal. Kate is 18 John 15 and Bianca 14. Deb Cameron Mother of Kate and John and daughter of Max explained to the audience, “Kate, John and Bianca are all members of the O’Shea Ryan Academy of Irish Dance, located in Melbourne. The teacher, Geraldine Ryan, travels from Melbourne once a week for a two hour class. Kate and John must travel one hundred and eighty kilometers each week. At the age of nine, John traveled to Nepal, to participate in a special performance in front of the King. In September 2008, Kate and John were both invited to travel with the dance academy to participate in a Military Tattoo in South Korea, with bands from Canada, North America Thailand, and Korea performing for crowds of up to 5,000 each night. Kate and John have both performed overseas several times, traveling to Italy, France, Holland and Denmark. |

A twenty minute work out is the equivalent to a football sprinting session. John hopes that one day he can travel to the home of Irish dancing, Ireland, and perform with the best of them, a great dream to have as a fifteen year old. The teenagers are largely funded by themselves. |
