PRESIDENTS SHINE

Former Australian Vetern Golfers Union Presidents have been in the news in 2009. Firstly Ray Jennison “ after 81 years 7 months and 2 days” made his first Hole in One at the 14th hole on the Grange East course in Adelaide. Ray was President in 2006 and 2007 and was a long term President of the SA Veteran Association. Well done Ray.

John Cheney former Victorian and Australian President in 2002 and 2003 and his wife Clare were awarded Life Membership of the Warracknabeal Golf and Bowls Club. This is a wonderful acknowledgment of their contribution to sport in Warracknabeal and thoroughly well deserved. John was president of the VVGA in 1999 and 2000.
